During move-in, lights will be on half-power, 24-hours a day. During show days, lights will be on full power one hour prior to show opening until one hour after show close.
New orders for items, air/water (plumbing), and hanging sign labor should be placed at the Exhibitor Service Center in your hall. All other labor-related requests should be directed to the appropriate trade desk. Floor plans are required for all utility services so be prepared to share this information before submitting your request onsite.
Electrical
Exhibitors should go to the electrical desk location in your hall request final hookups for machines, lights, AV installation, and to ask specific utility-related questions. When ready for a final hookup, the exhibitor must be present. Please be patient with hookup requests as many of these happen on the last day before the show opens. Technicians will respond to these requests as soon as possible.
Full-time employees of the exhibiting company (with at least six months of employment), may plug into any receptacle up to 20A/120V AC. Exhibitors may also mount monitors including plasma screens, LCD, and CRT displays and install handing brackets if exhibitor owned. For a full list of permitted activities, please review the Exhibitor Rights, Union Jurisdictions and Official Service Contractor Information.
All electrical distribution, including under-carpet wiring — floor work must be done by PES electricians, with the following exception: qualified full-time exhibitor employees may lay approved 110/120V three-conductor flat cable before carpet installation, provided PES has inspected and approved the cable. Running cords over carpet is strictly prohibited.
If you need power during move out days, please contact your Customer Service Manager at the Exhibitor Service Center before Wednesday, October 21 at noon.
Rollover Labor
If you need to bring back labor the following day to complete a project or to avoid overtime charges, you must schedule the rollover labor needed at the appropriate labor desk by 2pm the day before. Labor will not be automatically dispatched back to a booth to complete an open ticket. If you have questions concerning roll-over labor needs, please stop by the appropriate desk to discuss your options.
Avoid Code Violations
PACK EXPO Services is subject to the City’s electrical codes and regulations. PES electricians are required to inspect all electrical connections. If you are in non-compliance with the code, we will work with you to try and repair the fault and restore the booth to code (additional charges may apply).
It is extremely important that your technical people know the codes and construct a booth that conforms to them. Electrical equipment must be listed and labeled by a nationally recognized testing laboratory, i.e., Underwriters Laboratory.
