How do I book my hotel?

Visit the Travel & Hotel page, where you can book your room(s) online with the official PACK EXPO International Hotel Reservation Office, Expovision. Please beware of third-party hotel broker scams that may demand pre-payment and then oversell rooms. Expovision requires a credit card guarantee or a check deposit, but no deposits are charged at the time of booking.

Will there be shuttle bus service from the hotels to the convention center?

Yes. Complimentary shuttle bus service will run between official hotels and McCormick Place during the morning and afternoon hours around the show’s opening and closing times. See Schedule Bus schedule here.

What is the photography policy at PACK EXPO International?

Unauthorized photography and videotaping are prohibited. You must obtain permission from the exhibitor prior to videotaping or taking pictures. No cameras or recording devices are permitted in the educational sessions.

Where are the First Aid stations onsite?

Staffed First Aid Stations are located in the following areas:

  • South and North Building: Level 2.5 of the Grand Concourse, near the FedEx office
  • Lakeside Center: Level 1, near the Arie Crown Theater, Dressing Room Entrance
  • West Building: Level 1, near the Transportation Center

For fire, police, or ambulance contact the Security Office at 312-791-6060. If using a house phone, dial 6060.

How do I access security and safety personnel?

McCormick Place Security personnel patrol and monitor facility public areas, parking lots and perimeters. Security staff is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Personnel respond to all incidents. If Fire, Medical or Police assistance is needed:

  • DIAL Extension 6060 from a house or exhibit booth telephone.
  • DIAL 312-791-6060 from an outside phone line.

Stay on the line, calls are recorded. An officer will answer immediately. Be prepared to identify the location of the emergency by building, level and either hall, meeting room or corridor.

What are the Parking Options near McCormick Place?

There are three main parking lots on the campus, all within walking distance of the convention complex. Advanced reservations are highly encouraged. What are the transportation services offered for visitors to the show?

There are a variety of transportation options available for PACK EXPO International:
Shuttle Services: Complimentary shuttle services are provided between hotels in the official housing block and the venue.
Metra Electric Line: To and from McCormick Place and downtown Chicago. Public Transportation: Local transit systems offer convenient routes to and from the venue.
Rideshare and Taxis: Services like Uber, Lyft, and local taxi companies provide flexible transportation options to and from the event.

Is Metra accessible from McCormick Place?

Yes, the Metra Electric Line (only) Train Service is available and free to and from McCormick Place and Downtown Chicago. Ride the Metra Electric Train for free using the Metra ticket located within your registration packet or show the digital Metra ticket available within the Mobile App. Trains run from downtown Chicago stations to the McCormick Place Convention Center Station in just 7 minutes and are open 24/7. The McCormick Place Convention Center Station is on Level 2.5, off the Grand Concourse of McCormick Place South. Yes. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout McCormick Place. Select network “PACK EXPO” to get connected.

What kind of accessibility services are there at McCormick Place?

Scootaround is the exclusive provider of mobility solutions at McCormick Place. Through their on-site location in the Baggage/Coat Check area near Gate 4 of the Grand Concourse, on the main level, you can rent mobility scooters, wheelchairs, and oxygen equipment. Advance reservation is encouraged.

Accessible parking spaces for both cars and vans are available in Lot A (located on Martin Luther King Drive) for events in South, North or West Buildings and in Lot C (located underground in Lakeside Center) for events at Lakeside Center.

Is there a Business Center?

McCormick Place offers the services of FedEx Office, a full-service business center. FedEx Office offers a wide variety of services, including FedEx Express US Package Service and FedEx Ground, as well as copying and printing.

The FedEx Offices are in the South Building – Level 2.5, Lakeside Center – Level 2, West Building – Level 2.

Is there a coat/baggage check?

Coat/baggage check facilities are available near the bus and taxi areas of McCormick Place in North,South, West, and Lakeside buildings. Prices start at $4.50 per checked coat and $5.50 per bag. For identification, leave a business card in a pocket of checked items. Hours of operation are Sunday, November 3 through Tuesday, November 5 from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm and Wednesday, November 6 from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm. On Monday, November 4, all locations will remain open until 7:00 pm for PACK gives BACK attendees. All baggage claim tickets are color-coded by building. Look for signs directing you to these areas

Is there an International Business Center?

The International Business Center (IBC) is in Room N-427 on the upper level of the Grand Concourse in McCormick Place. International attendees are encouraged to utilize the IBC for business exchanges with your international customers. The IBC will feature a lounge area with refreshments, private meeting rooms, other related special services and assistance from PMMI Staff.

Is there a Lost and Found at McCormick Place?

Report and turn in any lost items you find to a floor manager. For inquiries regarding lost items, go to the PMMI Show Management Office located in the South Building, Level 4, Room S-401.

Where is the Media Center (for Press)?

The Media Center is in Room N-426 on the upper level of the Grand Concourse in McCormick Place and is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm show days. The Media Center is for registered press only.

Is there a Nursing Station/Mother’s Room?

Mamava Lactation Suites are available in the Lakeside Center Level 2 by the Gift Shop, South Level 2.5 across from Starbucks and West Level 1 near the Main Information Desk on Indiana Avenue. Please download the Mamava Mobile App to unlock the suites.

What Food Services are available at McCormick Place?

OVG Hospitality maintains all food operations at McCormick Place. They will provide various restaurants and snack bars located throughout the complex. Restaurants, concession carts, and buffet areas will be open during the show. How can I become an exhibitor at PACK EXPO International 2024?

Review the floor plans and submit your exhibit space application, along with the non-refundable/non-transferrable deposit to confirm your booth space. Booth space will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Once PMMI receives your application, we will contact you to assign your space. To start your application, go to Reserve My Booth.

What is the cost per square foot to exhibit?

The base rate is $33.25 per square foot including drayage/material handling. PMMI member space rates vary. If you are a PMMI Member and would like to know your space rate, please contact us at 571-612-3200 or email us at [email protected].

Drayage/material handling is included in your space rate provided your shipment/truck checks in at McCormick Place by 2:00 pm on your assigned target move-in date. See the Rules & Regulations and the Exhibitor Service Manual for additional information and special assessment pricing.

What is drayage?

Drayage is the moving of the exhibitor’s machinery, etc., off the exhibitor’s truck at the dock to the exhibitor’s booth and back to the dock to be loaded back onto the truck. This is included in the price of the exhibitor’s booth space—a benefit not seen for other packaging and processing trade shows.

What is the payment schedule for booth space?

A nonrefundable 25% deposit should accompany your Exhibit Space Application. An additional 50% of the total booth price will be due by April 15, 2024. The final 25% will be due by June 24, 2024. For any booths booked after June 24, 2024, full payment is due with the space application.

How can I improve my priority point standing?

Each exhibitor is assigned a priority point for space selection. PACK EXPO International, PACK EXPO Las Vegas and PACK EXPO East hold separate priority standings. By exhibiting continuously, and by those ahead of you in priority not  exhibiting, an exhibitor begins to move up the priority point system. Choosing not to exhibit at PACK EXPO Las Vegas or PACK EXPO East does not affect your PACK EXPO International priority. For more information, please review the Priority Point Process.

What are the height regulations?

Booths under 599 sq. ft. are allowed a maximum height of 12’ for all display material including logos and graphics. Hanging signs are NOT permitted. Booths 600 – 1,499 sq. ft. are allowed a maximum height of 14’ for all display material including logos, graphics and hanging signs, and booths 1,500 sq. ft. and over are allowed a maximum height of 18’ for all display material including logos, graphics and hanging signs. All display material and machinery must be set back at least 1’ from all aisles.

Can I change my target move-in and/or move-out date?

Move-in/Move-out dates are determined based upon your location within each hall, and you will be notified as the show approaches. If you cannot adhere to the scheduled inbound and/or outbound dates as assigned and would like to request a change, please complete the Target Change Request Form. Once we receive your f we will evaluate your request and follow up accordingly.

How many complimentary booth personnel badges do we receive?

There is no cap on the amount of complimentary booth personnel badges an exhibitor can order for PACK EXPO International 2024 as long as requests are made by October 4, 2024. Any booth personnel registration after October 4, 2024, will incur a fee of $15/badge.

How do I populate my company information for inclusion in the online directory?

Log in to the Exhibitor Resource Center and complete all items in the “Complete Profile” section to populate your Online Listing. This includes a company description, product categories, vertical markets, any applicable upgrade items and more. The Show Contact for your company must create a new password the first time they log into the Exhibitor Resource Center for PACK EXPO International 2024. The Show Contact can then invite other company contacts to create logins if additional staff members need access.

What is the cancellation policy?

Your 25% deposit is nonrefundable and nontransferable. For cancellations received after April 15, 2024 and prior to June 24, 2024, the exhibitor will forfeit any monies paid to date, up to 75% of the total booth price. Any cancellations received after the final payment deadline (June 24, 2024) will forfeit 100% or all monies paid to date. For details, see the Rules & Regulations.

Can I rent or buy the PACK EXPO 2024 International attendee e-mail list?

PMMI does not sell or rent attendee email lists due to our strict adherence to data protection and privacy laws. Any solicitation claiming to have the email list of PACK EXPO International attendees, or attendee lists from any PACK EXPO show, is fraudulent. If you are contacted by third-party companies via email, phone, or fax, offering email lists, please be aware that the information they offer should be considered entirely suspect as we do not allow access to the contact information of show attendees. We encourage you to block the sender, delete the email, and report scams to the U.S.FTC fraud division. When reporting, select “An Impersonator”, followed by “Well-Known or Trusted Business”. If you receive a solicitation and are unsure of the vendor’s affiliation with PMMI or PACK EXPO International, please contact the PMMI Show Department at 571.612.3200 or [email protected]

How much does registration cost?

Registration is $30 through October 11 and $130 after. Registration includes access to free educational sessions taking place in venues on the show floor.

What is the age restriction for PACK EXPO International?

No person under the age of 14 is allowed on the show floor, before, during or after the show. Neither strollers nor carried infants are allowed on the show floor.

Can I solicit my companies’ products or services to other attendees or exhibitors at PACK EXPO International?

Solicitation or “suitcasing” of any kind by non-exhibitors is strictly prohibited. Attendees observed soliciting business in the aisles or other public spaces, or in another company’s booth, will be ejected from the Show and may be banned from future events at PMMI’s sole discretion.

"Suit casing" refers to the practice of attending a trade show and soliciting business from other attendees and exhibitors in the aisles or public space. For the good of the Show and the exhibitors supporting the Show, the only legitimate place to conduct business during Show hours is within a contracted exhibit space on the Show floor. Exhibiting companies are encouraged to protect their investment and report any violations to Show Management.

Will my badge be mailed to me?

Yes, show organizers will mail badges to attendees from the U.S. that register on or before October 11. To help keep badge pick-up lines at a minimum we stress the importance of bringing your mailed badge with you on site. Attendees from outside the U.S. must pick up their badge at the registration desk in Chicago.

Where can I register onsite?

PACK EXPO International attendee registration is in the West Building – Level 3, North Building – RoomN-228, and Lakeside Center – Lobby Level. Any attendee not pre-registered must complete the required online registration form and submit payment in the amount of $130 USD. Registration fees can be paid by credit card: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express are accepted. If you have questions about your badge or you want to add options, like PACK gives BACK tickets you can do so here.

If your badge says First Time Attendee you can access the Lounge, located in South Building, Room S-102. The First-Time Attendee Lounge is sponsored by Promach. Please Note: “Supplier” badges will not be permitted in the room.
