Pro Mach Signs on as Title Sponsor of PACK gives BACK™

Reston, Va.; July 15, 2014 — PACK EXPO owner and producer PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, is pleased to announce Pro Mach, Inc., has committed to be a Title Sponsor of PACK gives BACK™. This event, open only to PACK EXPO and Pharma EXPO registrants, will be held during PACK EXPO International and Pharma EXPO 2014 (Nov. 2–5; McCormick Place, Chicago), on Monday, Nov. 3, and features comedian Jay Leno (formerly of The Tonight Show).

PMMI coordinates the PACK gives BACK event as a charity benefit, and this year’s recipient is K9s for Warriors, a charitable organization dedicated to providing service dogs to military veterans experiencing posttraumatic stress as a result of conflicts and war following 9/11. More than 90 percent of the dogs are obtained through animal rescue organizations.

“Pro Mach understands the importance of K9s for Warriors, and we are pleased that we are able to participate in this valuable service for our servicemen and women,” says John Eklund, vice president, marketing, Pro Mach.

The program includes three weeks’ training and bonding for dogs and veterans at the K9s for Warriors facility in Ponte Vedra, Fla., and veterans receive K9s services at no charge.

“We appreciate Pro Mach’s support of K9s for Warriors through PACK gives BACK. Together, PACK EXPO, Pro Mach and our industry are honoring our veterans’ service and supporting them at home,” says PMMI President & CEO Charles D. Yuska.

PACK gives BACK will be held Nov. 3, in the Grand Ballroom (S-100) in the South Building of McCormick Place. The event begins at 4:30, with a reception including beer, wine and light hors d’oeuvres, and Leno will take the stage at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $100 each. A portion of ticket proceeds goes back to K9s for Warriors. Tickets are on sale at packexpointernational.com.
